November 16, 2005 - Visa/USOC are doing a fundraiser that in which the Hamm family is support and a letter will be going out in Paul's name with. October 26, 2005 - Paul and Morgan preformed at the Hilton Skating & Gymnastics Spectacular in Atlanta, Georgia. The event will air on NBC on the 22nd of January!
July 2, 2005 - To clear up some more information regarding what was announced yesterday. Both Paul and Morgan are taking a break from competition in order to finish their education. That does not mean that they have fully stopped training. Although they are not training as intensly, they will still be in the gym preparing for the new code of points which will be announced in 2007. In January of 2007 the boys will decide if they want to make their push for the 2008 Olympics. Paul told the Milwaukee Journal that the two both intend to try for the 2008 Olympics, yet they both need a break from the everyday demands that have been made on their bodies. Both twins are enjoying life as normal college students and are very happy to be back in Columbus at Ohio State. Paul will be heading out to Las Vegas on July 15th for the 39th Annual Victor Awards. It will be televised live on FOX Sports Net, starting at 9:00 PM EST. Paul has been nomianted for one of the "outstanding performances of the past year" awards.
July 1, 2005 - Paul and Morgan have announced via USA Gymnastics that for the next year and a half they will be turning their main focus onto schoolwork and not gymnastics. Come 2007 they will re-evaluate their goals and decide if they're going to push for 2008. Stay tuned to hammtwins.com for any updates!
June 8, 2005 - Paul is heading back to court tomorrow. This time it's not about the medal it's about the way the situation was handled. U.S. Rep. F. James Sensenbrenner, Jr. was not happy with the way the situation is handled and has brought the hearing to Washington in a means of discussing what USA gymnastics and the US Olympic Committee could have done better to make the situation eaiser. May 20, 2005 - Paul and Morgan will be in Wisconsin tomorrow for the dedication of their new park located at W250-S3567 Center Road in Waukesha.. The park will be dedicated at 1pm, the park is a 10-acre municipal park and will be open to the public after tomorrows dedication!
April 13, 2005 - Tonight the winners of the Sullivan Award were announced at a ceremony in New York City. Paul was announced as the second gymnast EVER to win this award! Paul won the award for his gold medal winning performance at the 2005 Olympic Games where he won the gold medal in the all around, becoming the first American man to do so. March 11, 2005 - To put an end to the gold medal problems within the FIG the announcement was made today regarding the judges who judged parallel bars at the Olympic Games. Three of the judges were suspended for different amounts of time. George Beckstead (American) and Benjamin Bango (Spainish) were suspended until the end of 2005 and Oscar Buitrago Reyes (Columbian) was suspended until August of 2005. Four more judges were suspended due to a vault judging error, although they were not in any way related to Paul's case.
March 8, 2005 - Paul has been nominated as a finalest for the Sullivan Award. Fans can vote for their favorite athlete by going to USA Today's website! Make sure to vote for Paul and Carly. Only one gymnast has won this award before and that was Kurt Thomas. Paul's 2000 Olympic Teammate, Sean Townsend, was nominated in 2002. February 19, 2005 - Neither Paul nor Morgan will be competing at the American Cup next weekend. With all of the appearences lately, it's been hard for them to stay in the gym and upgrade with the new code. It's also a chance for the two of them to rest from touring, etc.
January 9, 2005 - Some up coming appearences:
- - Morgan will be at the mall in Lima, Ohio signing autographs on the 15th of January!
- - Two more Rock 'n' Roll Appearcens at the end of January in Canada, with a possiblity of a few more stops as well (Dates & Locations Coming Soon)
- - Paul will be receiving the Thurmond Munson award in NYC on Feb. 1
- - There is a clothing modelling runway thing in Texas for Harley Davidson sometime by the end of February
January 7, 2005 - Plans for the new park featuring Paul and Morgan in Wisconsin are almost complete as the sign will be added in the next few weeks and a dedication ceremony will be coming at a later date when both of the twins can be present. Paul and Morgan's Olympic Medals were also named number one on the top ten hometown stories list of their hometown of town in Waukesha, WI. Also Don't Forget: Paul and Morgan will be on 20/20 tonight, ABC at 10:00 PM EST!
