Meet 'n' Greet - Jennie

It all started on Thursday (Feb 22). My English class went on a field trip to see a play at a community college, and afterwards we went to the mall for lunch. They gave us 3 hours to do whatever at the mall. My friend dragged me in to the bookstore, and I saw the sign. It said that Paul and Morgan Hamm would be here signing Olympic books on Friday (Feb 23). I've been a Hamm fan for a while, so I got excited when I saw that. I talked to the guy behind the counter, and he gave me more info.

Finally, it was Friday. The school day seemed like it lasted forever. After school we left for the mall. We ran into Target to get a camera, then my mum dropped us off. We ran right for the bookstore. When we got there, they weren't there yet. We stood by the Star Wars books waiting for them to show up (we had the perfect view from there, lol). A little after 4, they arrived, and sat behind the table. There were only like 10 people waiting in line, but we decided to wait till no one was there, figuring we'd get to talk to them longer. When everyone in line got their book signed, we decided to walk over to the table. It was harder than I thought, cos they were watching us the whole time. We finally got to the table, and they signed our books. Then we got our picture taken with them. My sister was talking about that for the rest of the day. She said it's awesome to take a pic of them, cos they look like they are smiling at you, lol. My friend and I have a notebook that we write to eachother in. The front is decorated with pix of all the guys we like. Morgan and Paul were right in the middle of that notebook, so we brought it for them to sign. We chickened out, though, and didn't have them sign it. Then we left. As we were walking away, my friend Allison was talking all loud about them, about how hot they were, and I knew they heard her. So I took the notebook from her, and walked back to them. They looked up at me, and Morgan gave me a cute smile (yeah, I can tell them apart! lol). I brought it up to the table, and put it down in front of Paul. It was hilarious. He looked at it like 'what the fudge pops is this?' but he signed it. And then Morgan did. Then we left the bookstore for good. Actually, we just went upstairs. My sister Stephanie was walking around, sneaking pix of them. We got bored, so we went back down to the bookstore and sat on a bench thingy right across from the bookstore entrance. Perfect view. We sat there for 2 hours (my other friend was supposed to show up, we were waiting for her), sneaking glances at them. Allison and I were talking about our school's soccer team, and this really hot guy that's on it. His name is Paul. So, we're talking about how hot Paul is, and how sweet and nice, and Paul Hamm kept looking at us out of the corner of his eye. I didn't even realize why he kept looking at us till later that night. We sat there for almost 2 hours when their parents showed up. They told Morgan and Paul that they'd come back for them in 20 mins. We sat there for 20 mins, then their parents came back and picked them up. They walked out of the bookstore, and to the escalator. Then they were gone.

Now that the whole thing is over, we regret not getting up and talking to them. So, Morgan and Paul, if you're reading this, we hope to meet you again someday and actually have a conversation with you.
